I went to the record convention today. it was ok.
I got some decent stuff:
the high numbers - instant party
the count five - psychotic reaction
the best of sonny and cher
steve martin - let's get small
wire - eardrum buzz
the wire single sucks, sonny and cher is, of course sonny and cher, the count five is a classic, and the high numbers record...
this is the first bootleg of the who in america. I just looked it up. it was a pressing done in 1971 for people in the states that couldn't get the uk versions or the early stuff by the who. it doesn't have a real record sleeve, it's a brown cardboard sleeve with record labels pasted on the cover. the cool thing is that the A side label that's pasted on the sleeve is a fuck up. the track listing goes 1. I can't explain 4. daddy rollin stone 2. bald headed women 3. I'm a man 5. anyway, anyhow, anywhere 6. shout and shimmy 7. waltz for pigs
but the a side label on the actual record has the songs number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 , 6, 7 like they should be. the shitty thing is that they didn't put silence between the songs. the second one song ends the next starts, SO, it's gonna be a fucking pain in the ass to dj with. you can't really see when a song starts or stops. but the quality is fucking great. it cost 35 bucks but it's well worth it.
after that I went to my parents house for my dads 60th birthday. it was fun. my niece is 2 and you can tell. hyper and crazy!
in a couple weeks my sister mary is getting hitched and the reception is at the hyatt on the north bank. my mom got me a room! it's gonna be sweet! I think I'm gonna take a bunch of my family down to tsi after the reception and bring back kids to my hotel room and have a party. or just find some random chick and fuck the shit out of her in a hotel and feel like james bond. I'm gonna be in a tux.
I'm picking up wifi at my house. this is RAD! I can never pick it up here. I've noticed that over the past few weeks that linksys has had a ton of areas pop up that aren't locked. before everybody had their shit locked but now I can prety much always find one that is open.

saturday ricky, brendon, and I drove down to st pete. we were playing with the delusionaires and deke dickerson.
we made a stop in plant city to eat dinner with brendon's parents. they are super nice people. I felt bad because I wasn't hungry at all. I had to force myself to eat. and I hardly ate a thing. I had a chicken leg and maybe two or three salt potatos.
the show was pretty fun.
we stayed in this sleezeball motel that had blood in very random places.
9:00am knock knock knock "room service" in a very thick questionable accent.
this knocking and anouncing of room service went on for a good five minutes.
"no thank you!" "go away" "leave me be!" were all shouted to get the dude to fuck off.
"room service!!!!!!"
the dude opens the door and peeks his head in, "time to check out..."
fuck you, we paid extra money to be able to check out at noon. and the mother fuckers didn't even reset their clocks. our 11:00 wake up call came at 10:00.
adam, elle, ricky, brendon, and I didn't even brush our teeth. we were scared to touch things in their. we had a feel that turning on the shower was a secret code. like they'd hear it and bring in a donkey and a drunk mexican girl. we were too scared to try it out.
we went to ybor and ate at some greek place. I don't like greek for so I got the "american." a cheeseburger.
OH YEAH!
last night was halloween. I was anne frank. it was good. very good.
and I've totally got a crush on this chick. I think she might even be more of a nerd than me and she chugged a bottle of wine. she likes good movies and she has all of her records organized on a spread sheet in her computer. total boner material.

I saw the adicts last night. it was amazing. I felt like I was 14. I was jumpin' around, singin' along, dancin'....it was rad.
tsi is opening soon. I've been busy booking up bands and shit for the friday nights. I'm excited!!! I'm bringing some fun bands to town.
I'm really excited about the electric cowboy's tuesday nights. it's gonna be fun. there are now four official electric cowboy djs. brandon, brendon, ryan, and myself.
I'm bored as fuck. I'm parked outside the pit to use the wifi and some bum lady just walked up to me and goes, "that girl over there in the pink shirt likes you. she thinks you cute, boo. but her friend in the black called you tykie. yeah, she think you tykie." and I was like, "a dyke?" and she goes, "no, boo, tykie. you know, boo."
no.
no, I do not know.
I'm very confused. very confused.
now the girl in the pink and the girl in the black are looking at me. white trash. nasty shit.
the girl in the pink shirt is wearing overalls and her fat is pooring out of them. the one in the black looks like a meth addict.
the beat elite is back together with brendon on drums. we'll be pllaying a ONE TIME ONLY show as a reunion or sorts. after that we'll play all the time. we just want all the 16 year old kids in town that love us to think that this is their last chance ever to see us. but no, sir. it's the first of many times they can see us.

I got back from nashville sunday night. we played the super bender weekend. it was a lot of fun. I got really trashed and saw some good bands. my two favorite, of the weekend, were the spinns and the rat traps. fun stuff.
it's always fun getting out of jax for a little while but even better coming back home.
the thing that sucked is that I completely drained my bank account. I checked it on saturday and it was $0.00! I had to beg adam to buy me food and beer. BUT I'm paying him back today because I got payed last night.

I've been on a search for a girlfriend. it's been almost two years since I was in a relationship with somebody. weird, huh? i've dated a couple girls. but nothing serious. lame.

I'm in saint paul, minnesota.
I'm bored. I'm at my sisters, it's midnight, everybody is asleep, I have to be super duper silent.
I was so dead tired today. I fell asleep yesterday afternoon and woke up at 11:00 last night and went to the store and got beer and drank myself trashed hoping it would make me fall asleep. I ended up just drinknig and drinking until 5:00am and then realizing I had to get ready for my flight.
I sleep a little on each plane ride.
the detroit airport is CRAWLING with asians.
I had beer brats and black and tans for dinner tonight.
tomorrow I'm gonna walk around st paul and minneapolis and go record shopping. I wish I had a car here because I have to walk and take the bus. and I'm not 100% sure on what buses to take. my brother-in-law is just like, "yeah, take the 22 here and you can jump on the something to get over here..." I can't remember all that.
my nephew, eli, is the cutest little boy in the world! and I'm not just saying that because he looks exactly like I did when I was his age.

friday was brandon's birthday. a certain somebody tossed a lit cigarette at this fat white trash bitch dancing on the bar at two doors down. she was giving brandon some birthday bar dance. she had her shirt off and was fucking GROSS! well, everybody left except for a few of us and the fat girl and all of these people were looking for that certain person so they could kick his ass. since he left they got mad at us and we got asked to leave.
look out for this jacksonville band called "foxtrot." they are these kids ranging from 15 to 20 years old. they are this rad ska band. they sound like bad manners. they are fuckin' boss and I wanna book them shows! the bass player is 15 and has been playing bass for under a year and is fucking AMAZING! bryan and I were freaking out over him the whole time.

I just had 80 bucks put into my bank account from ebay buyers...and I just went norton record crazy, spending half of the 80 bucks.
I ordered 7 45s and 2 LPs. the 45s: esquerita - dew drop in, various artists - wild! wild! wild!, link wray & bunker hill - friday night dance party, the church keys - viva viva rock'n'roll, the sonics - sonics house party, pretty things - rosalyn
the LPs: the junior raymen - rumble '66, iguanas - s/t
the junior raymen are link wray's nephew's band, I wanna hear what it's like. the iguanas are iggy pops first band...it's a record worth owning.
I promised myself this would be the last record splurge I'd have for a while.
I also bought a georgie fame cd last night off amazon.com.
I'm not gonna leave my stereo for a few weeks once I get all these albums in.

I was just thinking about it...were mortarboards ever in style? or were they always just for graduates?
I couldn't ever imagine people walkin' down the street wearing one.
yesterday was kyle and jac's wedding. it was very nice. my date stood me up, so that was lame. BUT! I think I got a lot of great photos. I took about 7 rolls of film. whitney's mom wanted her photograph taken with brandon and me for some reason...and she's kinda good lookin' so I had no problem doing it.

so I'm all about selling on ebay now. I had never done it before until last night. I've got suit jackets, sweaters, shirts, cds, records, and...a potato chip! for sale.
I found a chip that looks like a pirate! I hope somebody will buy it.
but looking on ebay in the "weird" section I noticed a lot of people are selling these mystery boxes...most of them are going for a good bit of money!
I'm thinking about going to the flea markets and buying shit and just selling it on ebay. I also want to do a "my girlfriends mystery box" and say that it is filled with a bunch of her personal items. I'll go buy some cheap underwear, lipstick, other stuff and put it in there and start the bid at 100 bucks.
DUDE! why have I not done this already!
a lot of people are selling toast with pictures scratched into it... I'm gonna do the coolest one and make a stencil of something rad and scratch out a bad ass picture of a piece of toast using the stencil and sell it.
man...if I actually make money from this stuff I think I'm gonna spend most of it on norton and bomp.
